History

With a sprit of a Social Welfare the Sir Syed Education Society established its first institution a primary school in 1965 in a building now called campus II. In 1968 the main building of campus – I was constructed and a High School started functioning in 1969. In 1974 a Circular Building was constructed in campus – I as a Girls Section. The College block was completed in 1980 and Coeducation commenced from the same year in Pr-engineering, Pre Medical and General Science. The construction of a college Hall and the Side Block was started in 1980. The first floor was added two year later. Principal’s house was constructed in 1984.Nursery classes were started in 1988 in a rented building 7-Anarkali.

The Founder Institution

An English Medium Institution with an area of 43,000 Sqr feet and a covered area of 14,000 Sqr feet now designated Campus – II is located opposite POF Hotel on Quaid Avenue. Originally it consisted of two army barracks which served as a Junior School till 1995.

In 1995 5 sections of boys of secondary school classes were shifted from Campus – I.

In 1997 an Intermediate College was setup in Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical and General Science subjects.

Two labs and one library were added in the campus.

Campus – II then became a high school class from VIII to class X for boys.

In 2001 once again one Pre-Engineering and one General Science section was added to the pre existing class IX and class X. Class VII & VIII was shifted to campus – I.

At present there are three section classes in IX, three sections in class X, two section in class XI and two sections in class XII year.

Campus – I

An English Medium institution with an area of 1,74,240 Sq feet and a covered area of 50815 Sq feet. The school provides education in natural sciences and computer science. Upto 1994 the college section offered Pre Engineering,
Pre-Medical and General Science.

At present Campus – I has 6 sections.

1. Junior Section from nursery to class III
2. Middle Section from IV to Class VI
3. Senior Section from class VII to class X
4. College Section from class XI to class XII offering Pre Engineering and Pre Medical to girl students.

Boys and girls sit together from nursery to class IV and are segregated from class V onwards. Boys are shifted to campus – II in class IX.
